Big news dropped during the making of Avengers 4, with actor Chris Evans tweeting his farewell to Captain America, writing, “playing this role for the past eight years has been an honor.” Chris Evans also said he was “officially hanging up the shield.” Chris Evans has played Captain America since 2011’s  Captain America: The First Avenger which rates a 6.9 out of 10 on IMDB. This movie, set during World War II in 1941, introduced Captain Steve Rogers to the Marvel cinema.

In every Avenger movie a new fight to save the world plays out, along with cliffhangers and standout characters that include Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, and Ant-Man.

Does this really mean that Chris Evans is hanging up his shield, or is he teasing the Marvel fans? Many questions remain, and there are many comic fans who speculate that Captain America comes back. What’s your opinion?
