Juan Soto was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where his father, a former local league catcher, taught him how to play baseball. Soto in his youth was a talented young player, playing above his age level and quickly catching the attention of scouts, eventually signing with the Washington Nationals at the age of 16. In 2015 he began his ascent through the minor league system, making his MLB debut in 2018. Once he touched the big leagues he quickly showed the MLB what he was capable of and a year later at only 20 years old he already cemented his legacy by hitting home runs in Game 1 Game 5 Game 6 of the 2019 World Series to win his first ring with the Washington Nationals. He spent the next three years with the Nats then in 2022 Soto was offered 440 million to stay with the Nationals but he declined because he knew if he played at this same level he would get more money. Then during the MLB trade deadline he was shipped to the West Coast to play with Tatis Jr. and the San Diego Padres. His time with the Padres didn’t really go according to plan. He still managed to push the Padres all the way to the AlCS with an injured team, but during this time Soto knew this was a blessing in disguise.
Fast forward a year and Soto joined the biggest market in all sports, The New York Yankees. He stayed with the Yanks for only one season but he accomplished so much in that one year. Some of his accomplishments were 41 regular season home runs, in addition to that his batting average when sorrowing this year with a batting average way better than his 2019 campaign. However in the playoffs he was even better getting few hits in the ALDS and hitting the biggest hit for the Bronx Bombers, a homerun to send them to the 2024 world series. Soto had a chance to get his second of his career but unfortunately couldn’t pull it through against an overpowered Los Angeles Dodgers team
Soto again cemented himself for the biggest contract of all sports ,15 years 765 million dollars to go to his current team cross the river rival the New York Mets. This contract came with huge criticism because,First he going to his cross crosstown rivals,Furthermore he promised the Yankees fans he was going to stay for while but he decided to go for the money instead,Which was great for his career and his family. His new team started started of super hot having a 45-23 record by the end of July 5 above .500, however during September his team could not find a win a total collapse to not make the 2025 playoffs ,Soto however played great during this collapse is just his teams pitchers could not find the strike zone causing errors in almost every game in September. Soto continues to show people how great he is and he most definitely will show how great he is in the 2026 season. #LetsGoMets #CitiField
