The AMHS auditorium was transported to the rich and roaring 1920s last Friday, as the Interact Club hosted its annual Black History Month performance. Juniors and seniors watched live as their peers shared moments in dance, music, and spoken word. The Amityville Broadcasting Network livestreamed the event for freshmen and sophomores who tuned in from their classrooms.
The high school’s jazz band played throughout the performance, and the hosts of the event even quizzed the audience on African American history. It was an amazing way to highlight student talents while appreciating great accomplishments in history.
