The halls of Amityville Memorial High School were full of fall spirit this week. Students and staff, guided by Student Council’s day-by-day challenges walked around as Minions, inflatable dinosaurs, and even Day of the Dead sugar skulls.
Monday’s challenge was Minion Monday, where students and staff were encouraged to dress as a Minion, or wear yellow. Tuesday’s Blackout Day saw students and staff wearing all black. Wednesday had a “think pink” theme, while Thursday saw a variety of costumes, from Alvin and the Chipmunks, to various villians, and superheroes. We even caught sight of a “Pelpton Principal” and a figure called “Mr. Roach-chester!” Friday brought attention to Dia de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead, and Ms. Garofalo’s ceramics students offered sugar skull face painting for students during 6th period lunch.
We can’t wait to see what challenges Student Council brings us for December!
