Three Amityville students have been recognized as part of Newsday’s Top 100 soccer players on Long Island for 2022. The list was published On September 14, 2022 and included a breakdown of each of the boy’s positions and strengths on the incredibly talented Varisty Soccer team. All seniors, Newsday selected goalkeeper Matthew Katz, center back Roberth Perez, and central midfielder/forward Hugo Rodriguez as part of the elite list. When reached for comment, Coach Gannon stated, “These three young men are rounding the corner to an NCAA career; our program has prepared prepared them to open those doors and fly through them.”
