When you hear the name Kobe, you immediately think Legend. On January 26, 2020 we lost one of the greatest basketball players of all time in a helicopter crash. Kobe Bryant was passionate about basketball. It was something he loved to do. Growing up as a kid he always had the ambition to be an NBA star. He started off “rolling up his father’s tube socks and shooting it into his mini basketball hoop on his door in his room.” He knew then that one day he would be in a stadium full of people from all over the world, chanting him on (“Kobe, Kobe, Kobe”) with all the lights and cameras, then springing into action giving it all he’s got, on the road to success. In 1977 Kobe started his road to success by winning a slam dunk competition. By the second season he was titled an All Star .

Kobe was drafted into the NBA straight of high school. Kobe’s prime was in the early 2000s, the highlight of his career. In 2008, Kobe Bryant  played for the Los Angeles Lakers. During the 2000s he won five NBA championships, and was the fourth leading scorer in the NBA history. Kobe Bryant played in the NBA for 20 years.

The impact Kobe Bryant has had on the NBA is strong due to his talent and high capability of maintaining high standards in basketball. Kobe Bryant was one of the toughest defense players of all time, and he had one of the strongest vertical leaps in the league. In the wake of Kobe’s tragic death, the designer of the NBA logo has even been willing to put his figure on the logo in honor of his life. Sadly we lost a legend, but he he will never be forgotten.
