Mann’s Homemade Ice Cream is a small shop that opened September 6, of 2024 in Amityville. It is owned by a husband and wife, who make all of their ice cream from scratch, with additional help from their parents. Working here was my first job, and is has been a really fun experience. I was nervous when I found out I would start working in September, because I had Volleyball and school, and it was my first job. Let this be your sign to not be nervous. It was not easy peasy lemon squeezy, but by no means was it difficult. It was just nerve racking at first. There were so many opportunities that I started decorating cakes, and soon enough started doing more difficult designs, just for fun, or when shifts were slow. 

By creating all of these cakes, it has allowed me to expand on my artistic skills, which I didn’t know I was capable of. Working at Mann’s has also allowed me to expand my communication skills, and patience. Besides the cakes, our ice cream is pretty delicious!
